The Headteacher of IBIS applies the regulations on admissions fairly and equally to all those who wish to attend the school.
Aims and Objectives
IBIS is an inclusive school that welcomes children from all backgrounds irrespective of nationality, religion and ability. All applications will be treated on merit and in a sensitive manner. If the number of children applying for entry exceeds the places available, creating an extra class will be considered.
Although the school has an open admissions policy and does not set a specific entrance exam, tests are usually administered after entry to correctly assess a child’s ability and enable effective learning to begin as soon as possible. The school reserves the right to refuse entry to any pupils when it is considered that they will not benefit from the educational programme offered at IBIS or when there may not be enough resources, such as EAL (English as an Additional Language), to accommodate all new pupils.
