The relationships to supporters, sponsors and partners are incredibly important and an essential requirement in order to further develops IBIS.
With more than 200 pupils from 38 nations, the Independent Bonn International School (IBIS) has been an anchor of the international community in Bonn for more than 50 years. Founded as the British Embassy Preparatory School in 1963, the school today offers first-rate education for children aged 3 to 14 years from both the local and international communities. IBIS is inspected by the British government and was rated as outstanding in all categories in the most recent inspection. Our academic programme is based on both the British and German curriculums, which provides fantastic opportunities for our pupils to be successful in both German and international schools. We believe that education needs to develop the whole child – academically and socially, in an atmosphere of tolerance and respect for others and themselves.
One of the most important areas of the curriculum is science, which forms an integral part of that philosophy and it inspires children of all ages to explore the universe around them, gaining knowledge and an understanding of the exciting world we live in. The human body, animals, plants, materials and the planetary system offer endless opportunities for exploration.
The dedication and enthusiasm of our experienced teachers coupled with the latest technology and educational resources offers children of all abilities and interests a solid foundation to enable them to become the global citizens of the future.
Investment in facilities, staff professional development, equipment and IT are key priorities in our long-term development plan. With the help of our committed parent community we are initially investing in a new science laboratory and would subsequently like to upgrade our IT equipment and facilities.
This is where we need your support and generosity to carry out these important investments.
Your benevolent gesture will help to inspire others, build momentum and set the stage for the ongoing development of our school.
In this context, we would like to point out the possibility of anonymous donations and also the non-profit status of our School Association, which results in your donations being tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by German law.
If you would prefer to make a non-financial contribution, we are equally happy to meet with you to discuss how you can help us to achieve our objectives.
While your contribution will enable us to strengthen and enhance our curriculum, the consistency of our community and the IBIS culture will remain unwavering.
We believe now, more than ever, in the outstanding education and nurturing community that IBIS offers.
We thank you for taking the time to consider playing an important role by contributing to the enhancement of our community.
